Whiskey Sour Popsicles

It’s “popsicle time” again, folks! It’s warming up out there, and everywhere I look there is a different popsicle recipe….so I am at it again.  However, it should have taken me a few moments to blog this recipe up for you, …….but I made the time consuming mistake of checking my spelling of “popsicle.”

Much to my surprise….. This actually a recipe for a Whiskey Sour “Frozen Pop.” It turns out – POPSICLE is that colorful brand of frozen treat that has been around for a very long time – - – and folks have generically just called anything frozen on a stick – popsicle.   Other names for the cool concoction are Ice Pop, Freezer Pop, freeze pop, ice lolly, ice pole, icy pop, freezie, and of course, Frozen Ice On a Stick.  I also grew up with the non-stick versions Pop-Ice & Flav-or-Ice.  I am cold just thinking about it.

In other words – my popsicle craze has re-emerged and this one might actually warm you up a little after it cools you off!  Enjoy!

Whiskey Sour Popsicles

2 1/2 cups Sweet’n’Sour Mix or Sour Mix

1 cup water

1/2 cup whiskey

Divide among the molds and freeze until frozen!
