Sweet & Spicy Tandoori Pumpkin Seeds

Pie Pumpkins are a special variety of pumpkins that are usually available in the stores right about now.  They have way more uses than jack-o-lanterns…….If you’re making a recipe, you might as well save the seeds for this tasty snack.  Also – you might even save the guts to try your hand at a little pumpkin pampering with a Pumpkin facial, manicure, and/or pedicure!


Sweet & Spicy Tandoori Pumpkin Seeds

Fresh Pumpkin Seeds (extracted from a pumpkin….)

PAM or spray oil

Tandoori seasoning


1. Preheat the oven at 400 – Get a cookie sheet – cover with foil & spray with oil.

2.Cut off the pumpkin’s stem & cut the pumpkin in half.

3. Spoon out the guts into a different bowl.

4.  Extract the seeds from the guts & spread them out onto the cookie sheet.

5. Spray again lightly with oil & season.  I used tandoori spice & sugar! Sprinkle lightly & toss.  Add more after they come out if you think they need it!

Bake 10-15 min. Watching closely so they do not burn!  Cool & store in air-tight container or ziploc bag!
