Hot Sauce Recipes: A Sri Lankan Dip with Sriracha!

There’s a bottle of bright, fire engine red stuff on almost every Asian restaurant table that looks lethal and boasts that it is “naturally colored.”    It’s a Thai hot sauce called “Sriracha” donning a large rooster on the side.  It’s quite alarming to the tongue, but has a lot of uses – much like our beloved Texas Pete or Frank’s Hot Sauce.  I recently used it in my Japanese dinner party to fashion a homemade spicy tuna roll, and just two weeks ago it showed up on a my table inside a crawfish bar in Louisiana!  It has a great taste & can add just the right amount of spice to your dishes!  I used this as an appetizer to an Asian Meal last week.  Very interesting taste!


Sriracha Sauce can be a semi-sweet/hot addition to your dishes!

Sri Lankan Dip

1 cup ranch dressing (prepared; I used thick, buttermilk ranch)

2 Tablespoons Sriracha Sauce (Add 1/2 TBS at a time to get the right heat for you!)


Dippers – crackers, chips, veggies…..whatever!!!
